VERDICT

Ok probably you have scanned through the specifications of both smartphones and in your mind you are saying both phones are the same, well you may just be right in a way, but not all the way.

Something to NOTE here, is the fact that both infinix and tecno are brought into existence by transsion holdings under the command of Nnamdi Eziegbo, the Nigerian entrepreneur behind these brands.

Both smartphones have the same processors, ram size, storage and camera specs.
Where things actually vary is the battery size and the design. Not much of a difference I guess.

Also something here to NOTE is the fact that infinix laid so much emphasis on the zero 5's Bokeh effect also known as portrait mode, where as tecno didn't say anything about it being featured on the phantom 8.

That may also be an advantage the zero 5 has over the phantom 8, but I don't really think a typical Nigerian will purchase a smartphone because of a camera effect which doesn't involve a higher camera sensor.

If you decide to go for the infinix zero 5 over the tecno phantom 8, it could be because of the larger battery the infinix zero 5 features,  your the love you have for the infinix brand.

Price for the infinix zero 5 has not been confirmed yet, but a leak shows that the infinix zero 5 costs about $305 which is about 111 thousand naira as opposed to the 128 thousand price tag on the phantom 8.

You may also want to go for the zero 5 because of it's cheaper price tag , if this leaked price tag is correct.

For those who care about upgrade of OS, just so you know, tecno doesn't have a great history of sending software updates for android versions, instead they manufacture a new device with the latest operating system.

Don't get me twisted , both devices are great.

But The winner of this comparison is already lucid to you.

The winner of this comparison is the infinix zero 5.

Despite the infinite zero 5 managed to have an edge over the tecno phantom 8, I think between the phantom 8 and the zero 5 is the battle of fans. The brand with higher fans sells more, since both smartphones are very similar.
